Big Brownie points! Can’t go wrong with this product, great value. My wife who I brought this loves it. Doesn’t hurt her back when riding it. Has put a basket on the back. Easy to assemble. The only thing it came as Royal Blue, even though Sky Blue was in the picture. She loves the colour, and so do I, as I’m a Man Utd fan…Sky Blue wouldn’t do!

This is a superb bike for teens and adults. Its a short bike so if you ride with your feet hanging over the pedals you will need to be careful turning corners as you can hit the front wheel with your foot in this position. If you ride with the ball of your foot on the pedal then riding is no problem at all. The bike comes shipped with the front wheel and handlebars removed (to keep the package size down) so when you receive it you will have to spend an hour or so (or 20 mins if you fix bikes up frequently) putting it together. This is not difficult as long as you can use a spanner, an alen key and some wire cutters to cut the cable ties that hold it all together in the box. All the tools needed to put the bike together are supplied with it along with a manual (all in english for bikes sold here) that explains how to assemble your bike . The manual is well written and easy enough to follow and along with initial assembly instructions it covers maintainence and safty. One item that is not supplied with the bike that you may want to purchase is a pump. You can either use a car pump or buy a bicycle pump that is suitable for mountain bike tire valves. Once assembled you may want to adjust the brakes and gears. As shipped from the supplier these are adjusted reasonably but possibly not optimally. I found the brakes a little on the soft side and the gears a little tardy at the extreme’s (first and seventh). for the brakes I think they are supplied soft to reduce the chances of an inexperienced rider launching themselves over the handlebars after heaving on the front brake. Deralier (sp?) gears are always hard to get just right and its probably best to ride it for a while as it comes until everything has bedded down. Instructions for adjusting both can be found in the “Owners Manual” supplied with the bike. I ride my bike for exercise and a pleasure and usually cover 15 – 25 miles on a ride. I havent ridden a bike for over 10 years so when I get home I am usually sore and tired. I find this bike to be about as comfortable as it could be in the terrain I ride on (forest tracks). On a smooth road its superbly comfortable but even over rough tracks its not bad. Its a superb bike and at less than £200 its a bargain. Its reasonably light, well constructed (good sturdy frame), I think it looks quite nice and it rides very well.

I actually heard a grown woman squeal with delight when I wheeled this out. It’s a beautiful machine, and ideal for short trips. As a 6’2″ man, I was surprised by how easy to ride it was, and putting it together took about 30 mins. The basket wasn’t included, but the gears are shimano tourney twist, which is easy to use and understand for the novice. Only six of them so the Alpe d’Huez is probably out of reach, but that’s not what this is for.

As usual these bikes come in a few parts and need to be put together, with this one it was front wheel, front mudguard handlebars and stem and peddles, the brakes will need adjusting, it comes as you can see well boxed up and I could find no damage on this cycle. So the bike it’s a great sit up and beg style bike, this is for my wife who can not get on with her present mountain bike, this has a six speed gear system using a twist grip style changer, not a fan of twist grip shifters but this works and is easy to use, the gears needed a little bit of setting up but after that they shift really well.Once all set up I took it for a test ride and rather liked the feel of it, it rides really well and feels quite comfortable, the wife then had a ride after setting up her position and said the same it’s a much better ride for her than the MTB and less gears to worry about. This was so nearly a five star review but one thing let it down, when we first looked at this on Amazon she loved the look, colour and those white wall tyres which give this bike a very retro look, but the one thing that she really liked the look of was that nice big basket on the front, but as it turns out it’s not part of the deal even though it shows a nice close up image of it, I have in the past ordered items that have something extra and not had the extra item when it arrived but after checking the product info it generally says that it was not included, I checked the product info on this and nowhere does it give a clear indication it’s a separate item, but that is the only negative the bike is a really nice bike if you like the Amsterdam style that is.
